Before joining Claviga, James spent the last ten years working in the field of Learning and Development, specialising in developing effective interpersonal behaviour in managers.
After studying psychology and management at University, James began his career gaining broad business experience with WH Smith. Since then he has worked with companies that range from small specialist businesses to large blue chip organisations (Marks & Spencer and Nando’s).
James’s style allows him to create rapport and trust quickly. His ability to listen, ask effective questions and give people space to reflect, opens up new ideas and avenues of enquiry. One of James’s strengths is facilitating feedback between people and teams; and identifying both the threads that pull a team together, and the issues that might be holding them back. One of his recent key achievements has been to develop and deliver two different UK National Training Award Winning programmes.
His integrity and commitment to making sure you achieve what you want is outstanding.
“Developing people is about creating awareness for them, and helping them to think differently. This automatically opens up a new opportunity to choose a different behaviour.”
James also loves spending time in the great outdoors and has a keen interest in sport, photography and the arts.
