Some of us seem to be spending a lot of time in Spas recently, but there's a good reason. We have just launched Spa plus - our latest addition to our customer focused up-selling programmes.

Our Spa plus programme will equip therapists with the inter-personal skills to accurately identify specific guests' needs and wants, as well as the language techniques to sell products effectively.

To celebrate Claviga's 10th birthday and to raise funds for Children in Crisis, we are walking along the Thames from Lechlade to Oxford - a total of 50 km - over two days in June. So far this year we have raised (along with many of our participants on our programmes) GBP 4,968. Thank you to all of you who have helped us already, however, we still have a long way to go to reach our target of GBP 10,000.

Jane Smith (above left) joined the Claviga team in April and is based in our UK office. Jane was most recently Director of Sales at Hyatt Regency Birmingham. She has over 20 years experience of the hotel industry with indepth knowledge of Revenue Management, Front Office and Meetings and Events.

Oya Hahn (above right) is our new consultant in Germany. Oya has experience in many areas of the hotel industry, in both Germany and Turkey, including Sales and Marketing and Meetings and Events for both InterContinental Hotels and Kempinski. Oya's close attention to detail gives clients the well place confidence in her abilities. Oya is fluent in English, German and Turkish.
